1. About Us

These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to BSD One Security Solutions ("we", "us", "our") and govern the relationship between us and you ("the Customer", "you") in connection with any services we provide.

2. Services

We provide professional security system installation services, including but not limited to:

• CCTV system installation (IP cameras, NVR setup, remote viewing)
• Wireless and wired alarm system installation
• Cable concealment and management
• System configuration, app setup and customer training
• Post-installation support and call-out services

The specific scope of each installation is confirmed in writing (or verbally) prior to commencement and forms part of your agreement with us.

3. Quotes and Pricing

• All quotes are free and provided without obligation.
• Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
• Package prices shown on our website are starting prices ("from"). Final pricing may vary based on property size, access requirements or additional components requested.
• Any additions or changes to the agreed scope requested by the customer after commencement may incur additional charges, which will be communicated before work proceeds.
• All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

4. Booking and Confirmation

• A booking is confirmed when both parties have agreed on the scope, price and installation date — verbally or in writing.
• We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
• Any deposit paid to secure a booking is non-refundable if you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice.

5. Your Responsibilities

To enable us to complete your installation efficiently, you agree to:

• Ensure we have safe and unobstructed access to the areas where installation will take place on the agreed date.
• Ensure that you are the property owner or have obtained permission from the property owner for the installation.
• Inform us of any structural or electrical considerations that may affect the installation (e.g. cavity walls, existing security systems, underground cables).
• Ensure an adult (18+) is present at the property for the duration of the installation and handover.
• Promptly review and test the system at handover and raise any concerns before the engineer leaves.

6. Payment Terms

• Payment is due on the day of installation completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept cash, bank transfer, and other methods as agreed prior to the installation date.
• Where payment is not received within 7 days of the completion date, we reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
• Title to any equipment installed remains with BSD One Security Solutions until full payment is received.

7. Warranties and Guarantees

Warranty exclusions. Warranties do not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, tampering, vandalism, fire, flood or other external causes
• Faults arising from modifications made by the customer or a third party
• Normal wear and tear, or consumables (e.g. batteries in key fobs)
• Internet or network connectivity issues outside our control
• Equipment moved, re-mounted or re-installed by persons other than BSD One Security Solutions after the original installation

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• By you: You may cancel or reschedule an installation by contacting us at least 48 hours before the agreed date at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of any deposit paid.
• By us: We reserve the right to reschedule installations in exceptional circumstances (e.g. engineer illness, severe weather). We will provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative date at no additional cost.

9. Liability

• Our liability in connection with any installation or service is limited to the total amount paid by you for that installation.
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of income, data or business.
• We carry appropriate public liability insurance. Details available on request.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other matter where liability cannot legally be excluded.
• CCTV and alarm systems are not a guarantee against crime. BSD One Security Solutions is not responsible for any loss, theft or damage that occurs at your property, with or without a security system installed.

10. Data Protection

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the collection and use of your data as described in that policy.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos and design, is owned by or licensed to BSD One Security Solutions and protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our prior written permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Changes apply to all new bookings made after the date of update.
